Membership Classes
A Candidate seeking admission to the Student Class of membership shall at least be of 16 years of age, studying a recognized construction programme which satisfies the academic requirements for either the Member Class (MHKICM) or the Associate Class (AHKICM) or Construction Supervisor Class of membership.
Any Candidate, who shall be a full time student, desirous of being admitted as a Student Member shall sign and deliver to the Honorary Secretary an application in the form prescribed by the General Council signed by their Head of Department at their University or College.
The current annual subscriptions are detailed in Section 7 of Membership Handbook.
An applicant for election to the Student Class of membership must submit, together with the application, the subscription fee. The subscription fee will only be charged by the Institute upon the successful election of the applicant.
Dear Members,
In view of the increasing cost of business operations due to general inflation and our continued efforts in improving the services to the members, the General Council has approved a resolution to revise the annual subscriptions and application fees for admission into membership at its 2nd General Council Meeting held on 9 Feb 2022.
A healthy and balanced financial position is crucial in maintaining the growth of the Institute and the construction management profession. Thus, it was resolved that in addition to revising the level of membership fees, the Council will continue to explore ways to increase non-subscription revenue and to contain expenditure in striving for the quality services that can best fit members’ needs.
The revised HKICM Membership Fees 2022-23 will be in effect from 1 April 2022.
